Facelift

Dr. Lo offers a facelift procedure with a shorter surgical time than the traditional face and neck lift. Candidates are those with sagging facial skin who feel they look older than they are. A facelift tightens the sagging skin of the lower face and neck, while also lifting the underlying muscle and tissue. An incision is made around the front of the ear and back to the hairline. Underlying tissues and muscles are repositioned and the skin is lifted, with excess skin trimmed away. The incision is concealed in the natural contours of the face. Recovery time is approximately 7-10 days.

Fat Augmentation

This minimally invasive procedure transfers a small amount of the body’s fat to areas of the face that have lost volume. Injecting fat creates a natural look. Swelling and bruising may last for up to 2 weeks. The results of fat augmentation often last for years.

InstaLift™

Facial contours can be restored with a minimally invasive InstaLift. Suture threads are inserted under the skin, requiring only a small puncture, and threaded along a marked line where the lifting is needed. The threads have small cones that, once implanted, hold the skin in place, supporting it against future sagging. This procedure is excellent for gentle lifting of the cheeks, jowls, and neckline. Recovery time for an InstaLift is 3-5 days.

ThermiTight®

This minimally invasive procedure uses radio frequency energy to heat deep tissues on the face to stimulate collagen production. The ThermiTight probe is placed under the skin, and is threaded to all the areas under the chin and neck, heating the tissue and promoting collagen production. Because it takes the body time to build collagen, results are not seen for about 4-8 months. Although there is no incision, some swelling may occur, lasting for 2-4 days. Only one ThermiTight treatment is usually needed and the results last 3-4 years depending on the patient’s skin. However, the natural aging process may require future treatments.

Laser Resurfacing

Laser skin resurfacing can be highly effective in softening wrinkles and pigmentation issues around the chin. Pulses of light remove thin layers of damaged skin, while stimulating collagen production in the skin beneath. The new collagen plumps and tightens the skin, softening the appearance of lines and wrinkles. The procedure is usually done when treating the full face or around the mouth. New skin will grow and cover the treated area in about a week.

Non-Surgical

ThermiSmooth®

This exciting technology is completely non-invasive and uses radio frequency energy to heat the tissue and stimulate collagen production to lift the skin. It is painless and can be done in under an hour. Patients tell us it feels like a hot stone massage. Usually, 4-5 sessions are used in the initial treatment and then maintenance is done once every 4-6 months. This technology is FDA cleared for tightening the skin and reducing wrinkles.

Botox®/Dysport®/Xeomin®

These muscle relaxers are excellent in decreasing wrinkles caused by muscle activity. The usual places to treat are around the eyes, on the forehead, and between the brows. Other areas, like the lower face or the lips and chin, require a very experienced injector like Dr. Lo. He is one of the most experienced injectors in Tucson, having injected Botox for over 24 years.

Belotero Balance®/Radiesse®/Restylane®/Juvéderm Voluma®, Vollure™, and Volbella®

There are numerous fillers on the market and it can be overwhelming for patients as to which one to use. There is no “best” filler for the face. Different areas of the face require different fillers because of the thickness of the skin and what the goals of the filler are: volumizing versus filling lines. Dr. Lo has vast experience with the different fillers. After a consultation to see what areas of the face the patient wishes to have addressed, Dr. Lo will make a recommendation.

Microneedling

This minimally invasive treatment requires no downtime and is used to rejuvenate the skin by stimulating collagen production. It is used to help decrease fine lines and wrinkles, and improve the appearance of acne or surgical scars.

HydraFacial Treatments

Using water to perform a facial is a new way of exfoliating the skin, leaving it hydrated, plump, and youthful looking. A mild chemical peel or a dermaplaning treatment can be done at the same time to further enhance the effect. Frequent HydraFacial treatments can help with fine lines and mild pigment problems.
