Liposuction

Used to reduce or eliminate sagging, fatty areas of the upper arm, liposuction is a proven technique for removing fatty deposits. Dr. Lo uses a local anesthetic to minimize pain and blood loss, as well as quicken recovery time and produce optimal cosmetic results. A small cannula, attached to a vacuum, is inserted beneath the skin and moved back and forth to loosen the fat. Once loosened, the fat is suctioned away. After sculpting the upper arm fat, liposuction is often used in conjunction with cosmetic procedures, such as ThermiTight, to tighten the skin. The results of liposuction and skin tightening can be dramatic.

ThermiTight®

This minimally invasive procedure uses radio frequency energy to heat deep tissues on the arms which stimulates collagen production. The ThermiTight probe is placed under the skin, and is threaded to all the areas of the arm that need skin tightening, heating the tissue and promoting collagen production. Because it takes the body time to build collagen, results are not seen for about 4-8 months. Although there is no incision, some swelling may occur, lasting 2-4 days. Only one ThermiTight treatment is usually needed and the results last several years depending on the patient’s skin. However, the natural aging process may require future treatments.

Non-Surgical

ThermiSmooth®

This technology is FDA cleared for skin tightening, cellulite reduction, and fat reduction. It is non-invasive and requires no downtime. The areas are initially treated in 4-5 sessions, after which maintenance is scheduled every 3-6 months. Patients love having an alternative that is non-invasive and this fulfills that need. If a patient does not want liposuction or ThermiTight, they can opt for ThermiSmooth to help tighten the skin of the arm as much as possible.
