Latisse

Latisse is the first FDA approved eyelash enhancement drug, brought to you by Allergan Inc, maker of Botox cosmetic. Latisse was developed after doctors discovered that the popular glaucoma drug, Lumigan, could help people grow longer, thicker eyelashes.

Latisse is specially formulated for cosmetic use. When applied to the base of the upper eyelids, the active ingredient - bimatoprost - maintains the growth phase of the eyelashes, gradually producing thicker, longer, darker lashes.

Over 75 percent of patients reported significant eyelash enhancement in clinical trials with Latisse.  Results are seen after about 4 weeks, but they are not permanent.  Once a patient stops using Latisse, lashes return to their normal state.  Good candidates for Latisse will be healthy, have no associated allergies, and may experience dissatisfaction with the length and number of their eyelashes.

Latisse is available only by prescription to treat ‘hypotrichosis’ i.e. inadequate eyelashes. If you are interested in Latisse eyelash enhancement, contact our office in Tucson, Arizona today to schedule an appointment.
